In Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, a missing manhole cover on Rashid Minhas Road has caused three motorcycle crashes in three weeks, one sending a rider to hospital for stitches. In Lahore, a dead traffic signal at the Kalma Chowk underpass exit has left commuters to merge blind, with two rear-end collisions in a fortnight. On the Kohat-Hangu road, a landslide-prone curve near Doaba has no warning signs or guard rail despite two accidents since March. Each hazard was reported to the responsible department weeks or months ago, and each remains unfixed.
The Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation, TEPA, and the National Highway Authority to install a proper manhole cover, repair the Kalma Chowk exit signal, and add warning signs and a guard rail at the Doaba curve before more people are hurt.

A manhole cover has been missing from Rashid Minhas Road near the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13-D flyover for over three weeks after the Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation removed it for line repairs in mid-July and did not replace it.1
