In Faisalabad's Madina Town, a burst WASA line on Susan Road has been flooding the street with standing water and mud since around 20 July 2026, and WASA sent a team only once, which dug a trench and left without capping the line. In Chatter Kalas village, a gravity-fed water scheme begun by the Public Health Engineering Department in 2024 has sat half-built for two years after the contractor reportedly went unpaid, leaving around 70 households to fetch water from a spring twenty minutes' walk down the hillside. Both cases show basic water infrastructure started and then abandoned.
WASA Faisalabad to properly seal the burst line on Susan Road and resurface the damaged section, and the Public Health Engineering Department to resume and complete the Chatter Kalas scheme or, at minimum, backfill the open trenches immediately for safety.
